Wishing you Steampunk’s Greetings and a Happy New Gear!
Join New York Times, USA Today, bestselling and award-winning speculative fiction authors as they celebrate the holidays this December in steampunk style.Tinsel and trains, tinkers and time-machines, garlands and gaslamps grace the stories in this limited-time anthology. Corseted ladies and cloaked lords fill your holidays with Christmas cheer—and a touch of Yuletide magic, too—in this collection full of tales of wonder set in alternate landscapes of Victorian style and steam-powered technology. So deck the skies with dirigibles, gather ’round the clockwork tree, and settle in with your eggnog and goggles for a steampunk celebration like never before!
My story in Bustles and bells is Kiss my Snowflake, the sequel to Kiss my Corset (but they both work as standalones).
DX-4 is a hybrid: not quite human, not quite machine. She was made to be a servant, but serving’s not in her nature – which is why she’s now married to her three masters and looking forward to their honeymoon. For the first time since she was created, she gets to leave the city and travel to the countryside for Christmas. Not everyone thinks hybrids should be with humans though… will this Christmas be a time of peace or war?

I'm pleased to say that Broken Princess is now available to preorder! The book, part of the Defiance trilogy, was previously published in the Royal and Reckless box set but is now going to be released on its own on the 3rd November 2018. Will they be her saviours or executioners? Laya is called the Princess, but in fact, she’s nothing but a slave to her husband and cult leader Andros. Abused and suppressed, she has no hope of escape until three new recruits enter her life. They quickly take to living in the compound, but Laya can’t help feeling that they’re different. That they might not believe in what they have to do for Andros. That they aren’t as cold and cruel as him. With Andros planning his cruellest deed yet, she needs to escape - but will these three men be her salvation or her doom? ***Warning: This is a dark story that contains violence, sexual abuse and other topics that may be triggering. Read at your own discretion.*** The leaves have started changing colour and this was the first properly sunny day in two weeks (and there's a weather warning for Monday so it won't last). Perfect timing to go on a little excursion as part of Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photowalk. I found some beautiful spots and took lots of photos, realising how much I missed going on walks with my camera. Planning to join the Helensburgh photo club now! Click through the slideshow to see some of my favourite shots (all of them unedited, I only just got back from the walk). |
